Which one is your favorite?
So Final Fantasy...

So I asked this one on Facebook; and if you hang around me a lot, you probably already heard me ask you this...
But the new Final Fantasy game had an overhaul when coming to America. I don't know to what extent, but the most noticeable is the theme song. I heard both of them and feel extremely neutral about both of the versions.. So I want your opinions on whether or not one is better than the other as the theme for the upcoming new game. Don't just put one or the other and say 'because'. I want a real opinion on this. I find it interesting how different both pieces are compared to past choices of Final Fantasy Themes and I want to see other peoples thoughts on the matter.
For easy access, here are both songs:
Leona Lewis - My Hands / The European and America Theme
Sugawara Sayuri - Kimi Ga Iru Kara / The Japanese Theme (Obviously)

Ok. I hate My Hands. It's so stereotypically R&B Pop romance, and near as I can tell has NOTHING to do with the game, the game genre, or the series franchise at all. It's like they picked it just to appeal to the "ghetto" population over here, risking offending their loyal fans in the process (but knowing the fans would look past the song to the gameplay).
This entire installment is really looking disappointing. I mean, I was considering buying it eventually, but if THAT is what assaults my ears when I turn it on... it's not going to happen. I'll learn Japanese and buy the REAL version some day instead.
(EDIT: Japanese song is beautiful. The lyrics are gorgeous, too, and seem to relate much more to the theme of the game - SAVING THE WORLD, NOT BEING A WHINY LITTLE EMO-PANTS [coughfemCLOUDcoughcough] - So yeah)

The japanese version is far superior.

Well I guess it boils down to this.. 'My Hands' has the epic beat to it and may have something to do with the game, but not enough for us to relate to unless we think of our own lives, while 'Kimi Ga Iru Kara' has the Japanese feel, as well as the lyrics agreeing with it. Though the tune doesn't really feel right. I personally like the songs by themselves, but not for Final Fantasy.
